an ode, written October 2012
Oh love of my life
You satisfy me every way
You love me so tenderly
On each and every day
Without you I can’t go on
Without you I know no peace
I’ll take you any way you come
But I much prefer when you’re obese
I will lie with you all my days
To you I’ll come ‘most every night
I’ll never let you leave me here
You’d better bet I’ll stand and fight
You keep this smile on my face
You keep my heart so light and free
You are my reason for living
Without you I can’t say where I’d be
You keep me young and youthful
You make me sigh and moan
Oh, dearest Bed of mine,
I never will leave thee all alone.
