Wine, wine, wine: take two

Do you remember the last time I wined? It’s been too long. I haven’t been thinking much about whining, but I’ve thought a lot about wine, so I’m having some right now. In the spirit of last time’s post, I feel that maybe I should take this wonderful wine filled moment to ramble on about mixed feelings. We’ve all had them, maybe about very different things, but it happens.

So here it is, the good, the bad, and the ugly, so to speak. Or in this case what I love, what I hate, and what I’ve mixed feelings over.

love: drinking too much wine
hate: drinking too much liquor
mixed: drinking wayyyy too much wine. Or liquor.

love: long drives
hate: getting car sick in the back seat
mixed: long drives when I have to sit in the back seat

love: good friendships
hate: forced socialization
mixed: having to attend social occasions to see my good friends

love: staying up late
hate: sleeping the day away
mixed: going to bed early enough to function at all

love: making people feel awkward
hate: feeling awkward
mixed: when the tables turn and the awkwardizer (me) becomes the awkward

love: reading good books
hate: books ending or losing good characters
mixed: rereading good books in which the best characters die

love: my haircut
hate: my haircut
mixed: my haircut

love: looking young
hate: looking young
mixed: looking young

love: commitment
hate: commitment
mixed: lack of commitment

love: being flirted with
hate: being flirted with by married men
mixed: being flirted with by married men who are very attractive

love: writing about what’s on my mind
hate: people reading what’s on my mind
mixed: blogging about what’s on my mind

Clearly all of this amounts to some tiny little issues. It’s a good thing I have my trusty wine here to help me resolve it without resorting to whining. (That would just be so unprofessional. Unadult. Immature.)

Sometimes I feel like a petulant child. Oops.
